Hello All,

I am working on creating a layout called 'Truck Maps' these will be used by field techs. I'm using Manifolds MapBook process. I have done the same thing in ArcGIS with Data Driven Pages. In my map layout I have my pages set to a 20x20 to show detail for street names, power pole locations, conductor lines, sub-stations, etc. With my pages being that high I have a decent amount of pages with no data, white maps with only labels and legends.

Instead of printing a range, How do I filter out those blank pages when printing?

Thank you in advance

Would printing a range work? It's the opposite of filtering out pages not to print. The user map book section in the Manifold manual suggests you can specific which pages to print in the print dialog:

"Printing Multipage Layouts

Multipage layouts are printed just like any other layout withFile - Print. However, if desired, thePage Rangesection of thePrintdialog can be used to specify that only some pages of the layout are printed."

Alternatively, can you export to say PDF and when printing the PDF, print which pages you want? Or if you are distributing the final product to others, you can then use a PDF editor and delete the blank pages from the file before distributing the file or sending the whole file for printing the final product. The recipient only ends up with a file with map pages with useful content.

Are you printing or someone else? And you don't want to give complicated instructions on what to print?

I can print a range, ideally, I want to press print and only print out pages with info on them.

I didnt consider exporting as PDF. That would be best for me.

Thank you for the suggestion

Is there a way to draw your own lines or do you have to let Manifold divide the pages.

I'll have to leave the response to others, I'm not sure re: automatic lines or draw own lines.
