Hello,

I was looking to get Radian but wanted to ask first,

Can Radian store and retrieve raster data in a Postgres server in the server's native format, specifically the PostGISRaster format? That way it could be opened in both Radian and other programs such as QGIS.

Thanks

Yes, Radian can work with PostGIS rasters.

Thanks for the info,

I have Radian now, but at times when linking rasters from the PostGIS database the "public.rastername Table" that is generated has a X and Y value but the Tiles column is just Null. Is there a reason why this happens? The raster that is the original "public.rastername" table works when exported with gdal_translate as a geotiff, so there is at least some good data in the original table.

Also is there a way to have Radian redraw tiles from a raster that has been changed, without deleting and refreshing the whole database data source?

Thanks

adamw

Regarding tiles coming out as NULL - can you provide a test data set? That could be a backup of a PostGIS database or a file which has to be uploaded to PostGIS via some tool.

Regarding redrawing raster after changes - is it that the raster is being changed outside of Radian and you want Radian to pick up the changes? We don't have a way to refresh the raster now without deleting / recreating the data source or closing / reopening the MAP file, perhaps we should add them, we agree that would be useful.
