a rare crash of 8.0.30

I have a common case of

1. table of coordinates

2. query for points from 1.

3. linked drawing to 2.

4. query for lines from 3.

5. linked drawing to 4.

I think my steps were

* edit query 2. to use different source table

* refresh points drawing 3. by right-clicking on project pane and choosing Refresh Data (it worked)

* Activate drawing 5. window and pressing Alt+F5 (nothing happened)

Now, as seen on screenshot, previously linked lines were selected. After pressing Alt+F5 new objects should have been unselected. I clicked in the middle of drawing to trigger redraw.

Then crash happened.

Debug showed this:

That really is fascinating, especially since from the screenshot it looks like you are running Windows 10.

Could you send the project to tech support? Drop them a note reporting on the crash and they'll send you FTP instructions.

Thanks for the stack dump, it helps.

Now, what would have helped even more is a crash dump.

Capturing a crash dump is pretty simple. Suppose you are working with Manifold and it crashes. You see a scary error message. *Without dismissing the message*, launch Task Manager, locate the Manifold process in the list of processes (in Windows 10, the list of processes is in the Details tab of Task Manager), then right-click the process and select Create Dump File. The system will take a moment to write the dump file and tell you where it put it. Zip it up and send it to us.

Crash dumps help pinpoint many of the issues right away.
