I would like to add folders to my MSSQL server data source.

I can connect to the server using windows integrated security or SQL user name and password.

I have db owner user role for the SQL database.

While viewing the contents of the MSSQL Server data source in the MF project pane, I see a System Data folder.

I would like to create additional folders within the data source to organize the various data layers I will use in my Manifold projects.

When I attempt to create a new folder I receive the following error message:

Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'OBJ_PROP_X'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.mfd.meta' The duplicate key value is (dbo.mfd_root, Path.1.Value). The statement has been terminated.

My search on the web seems to indicate an SQL Server error; that I'm trying to add a duplicate key to an existing table.

How can I overcome this error?

Just tried again with MF 9.0.163.9

Same error message.

Any thoughts? Anyone?

Should I RRTFM?

This looks like a bug on our part. We will fix it.

Thanks for the report!

Just tried with MF 9.0.163.10, not yet.

Did not see a fix for this listed in your release notes.

Did not expect an immediate fix.

Not mission critical, but organizing tables, drawings, etc in a shared datasource would make some easier workflows.

Should I submit a separate bug report to support?

Normally yes, but if Adam explicitly says "we will fix it" there's no need. :-)

This bug is fixed in MF 9.0.63.11

Thank you

Much easier to organize my MSSQL server datastore

I've been adding the various map server links to my datastore.

I'll be loading local data layers later.
