For some reason I have been given 30tb of imagery directories in {dataset_name}/{z}/{x}/{y}.png format, zoom levels from 4 to 20.

Some of those datasets have the {y} file name value "inverted", where the tile grid begins at the bottom left rather than top left.

I can load those datasets in QGIS by specifying {-y}.png in the URL's control string.

Is there any slick way I could use the Web Server --> ImageServer (Custom) facilities in 9 to do something similar? Would love to not have to rename all the tile files (y = (2^z) - y - 1), but in the end, it might make sense to do so.

Thank you.

We will think about supporting the {-y} form directly. We already support a number of such forms, but only in the context of specific servers, we can make some of the forms usable universally regardless of the server type.

We added support for {-y} for URLs of all image server types in 9.0.168.9.
