Looks like I can not code to rename a table in SQL like I can using the API. That way I could save the use of an addition temporary table for sorting. This is only part of a SQL-hack around what I really need in Vb.NET. That's a <Table>.SearchAll() using a certain index, not the index of the identifier [mfd_id]. So a way to make <table>.SearchBatch(index, keys,{fields}) accept any record with a dummy key would work even better.
Do you really want to ruin economy only to save the planet? |

We have RENAME as a separate statement, on the same level as ALTER: RENAME TABLE [old] [new]; We use ALTER TABLE [...] (RENAME ...) to rename fields, indexes and constraints.
