Hi,

I have:

  • raster 1, which is land elevation from lidar
  • raster 2, which is bathymetry elevation data of a lake
  • a polygon shapefile of the lake area

Raster 1 has a flat section where the lake is, due to water surface reflections in the lidar data set.

I would like to combine the two raster data sets, using elevation data from raster 1 for locations outside the lake border, and raster 2 for elevation data within the lake border.

The rasters have different origins and resolutions.

What workflow should I use to replace the flat area in the lidar dataset (raster 1) with bathymetry elevation data (raster 2), resulting in a new raster?

Dimitri

Those are just raster to raster joins. See the various Join Videos to get started.
